The last few months brought a lot of good news of Israel-Lithuania business and tech cooperation:
The pilot project „Smart Parking Management” has been launched in Vilnius. The ILTH (Technology Hub) of the Israel Lithuania Chamber of Commerce is proud to have initiated the meeting between the parties and to be a partner in this exciting innovative venture!
Contrarian Ventures, managed by an international team of seven partners investing in Lithuania, the Netherlands and Israel won a tender to become manager of a venture capital fund established by Lietuvos Energija.
The Hub and Israeli startup delegation participated at the largest tech and innovations festival in the Baltic States Login.
Telia Lietuva and Israel company CyberGym to establish a Cyber Training in Vilnius
DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival which took place Sept 3-7th, 2017 got the most attention! INFOBALT, the association for IT companies in Lithuania, along with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the State of Israel organized meet-and-greets for interested potential business customers or partners. Lithuania's tech-savviness has been recognised and leveraged by many firms in Israel, as a source for affordable offshore cutting-edge IT innovation. Moreover, Startup Lithuania Roadshow with selected 7 startups this year came back to DLD Innovation days.

August 17: The pilot project „Smart Parking Management“ has been launched in Vilnius
Vilnius city municipality and Israeli company „My City 360” partnered together to bring intelligent parking management solutions for Vilnius city.
The ILTH (Technology Hub) of the Israel Lithuania Chamber of Commerce is proud to have initiated the meeting between the parties and to be a partner in this exciting innovative venture!
The project aims to provide for Vilnius drivers comfortable to find free parking places in the city. Smart sensors will help to monitor free parking spaces in the real time. If the pilot project will be fruitful Vilnius municipality will seek to apply the intelligent solutions to the larger area of the city.
The project is being implemented by Vilnius City Municipality, SĮ "Susisiekimo paslaugos", Vilnius City Business and Tourism Development Agency "Go Vilnius" and partners from Israel „My City 360“.

JUNE 4: Geektime Tech Festival
Hub is happy to be part of the annual Geektime Tech Festival - to meet and exchange ideas on tech issues.
The festival is a full week of events including tech and startups conferences, exhibitions, meet-ups, hackathons, professional workshops, and more.
June 25-29: Forum Cyber Week 2017
Cyber Week is an annual cyber security conference held at Tel Aviv University in Israel has hosted over 7,000 attendees from more than 50 countries.
Zvika Kezurer the Chairman at Israel Lithuania Technology Hub assisted and helped Lithuanian delegation to meet Israel companies’ expertise in cyber security.
During the event Lithuania Vice-Minister E. Kerza discussed cooperation possibilities in Cyber Security issue with the counterparts from Israeli institutions.

JULY 15: Contrarian Ventures was selected as a manager of a new Lietuvos Energija Innovation Fund
Contrarian Ventures managed by an international team of seven partners investing in Lithuania, the Netherlands and Israel won a tender to become manager of a venture capital fund established by Lietuvos Energija. The state-owned energy company invested EUR 5 million in the fund. The same amount is expected to be attracted from other investors. The total amount of the fund could reach EUR 10 million.
The Innovation Fund will seek to cooperate with start-ups and research institutions, targeting the development of new services and products sustainably as well as contributing to the commercialization of research and development in the energy sector.
MAY 23 - 25: Lithuanian delegation at MIXiii Biomed 2017 exhibition
MIXiii-BIOMED has positioned itself throughout the years as the main annual meeting place for players of Israel’s healthcare industry with their colleagues from around the globe.
Lithuanian delegation comprising of representatives of Enterprise Lithuania, Vilnius University and VU Biotechnology Institute participated at MIXiii Biomed 2017 exhibition. Zeev Zelig the Life Science Director at Israel Lithuania Technology Hub represented the Hub at the particular exhibition.
The achievements of Lithuania in the Life science area are a presented in Life Science Baltic 2018 stand by Enterprise Lithuania. Life Sciences Baltics 2018 is the only international forum in the Baltics and Scandinavia for world-class biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices experts from all around the world. MAY 24-26: HUB and Israeli startup delegation at Login Startup fair
Startup Lithuania with the Hub assistance for the first time invited 3 Israeli startups SwitchRTC, Distribyte and Labsuit to participate at the LOGIN Startup Fair. LOGIN is the largest tech and innovations festival in the Baltic States, attracting more than 6000 attendees.
The Hub members Zvika Kezurer and Tomas Navardauskas have joined the delegation with the purpose to participate in the Login Startup Fair, and accompany Israeli companies and startups.
Zvika Kezurer the Chairman at Israel Lithuania Technology Hub delivered presentation "MY money for YOUR word" at the main Login Startup Fair stage. He also was invited to lead a Masterclass on the subject "Sales and Partnerships " and for the jury of the finals Startup battle. Check LOGIN Startup Fair galleries of 24th and 25th days.
Besides the main event, we had meetings with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, Vilnius municipality, Go Vilnius, Invest Lithuania, the Israeli embassy, WIX, and other some of Lithuanian IT companies that we work with to further develop the relations between the two countries.
On our last day in Vilnius, we had a visit to Vilnius Sunrise Valley Science and Tech Park.
MAY 25: TELIA LIETUVA AND CYBERGYM ESTABLISH A CYBER TRAINING AREA IN VILNIUS
Soon, a special remote cyber security training centre, the first such centre in Northern Europe, will open in Vilnius. This is done according to the cooperation agreement that was signed by Telia Lietuva and CyberGym, an Israeli cyber defense solutions company that is well-known throughout the world. Read more here:
CyberGym a world class Cyber-War-Game Arena provides a unique training environment, where trainees can experience real cyber-attacks against their facility, learning to recognize them and to handle them.
Ofir Hason CEO & Co-Founder of “CyberGym”, was invited as a keynote speaker on “The Importance of Human Factor in Cyber Security issue” at the festival of technologies and innovation LOGIN in Vilnius.
APRIL 19: Israel launches of the "Innovation Visas" Program for Foreign Entrepreneurs
The innovation visa will enable foreign entrepreneurs from around the world to develop their innovative technological project in Israel. During the time they would spend in Israel, the foreign entrepreneurs will be hosted in one of the 12 Selected Landing Pads for Foreign Entrepreneurs.
The Innovation Authority’s supportive frameworks will provide the foreign entrepreneurs at the start of their journey in Israel with exposure to the Israeli innovation ecosystem, work spaces, technological infrastructure, and business and logistical support.
