December 28: Global Lithuanian Awards

On December 28, guests and laureates for the Global Lithuania Awards 2017 gathered at the Town Hall. Global Lithuanian Awards reward the remarkable talent, exceptional vision, and responsible ambition of Lithuanians and Lithuania-connected people who have been contributing to the prosperity and global standing of Lithuania.

This year 33 nominees in 9 different categories from 8 different countries were presented in the Global Lithuania Awards. The patron of the awards, President Dalia Grybauskaitė awarded laureates with statues, representing the ideas of strength and integration.

Zvika Kezurer a chairman at ILTH participated at the ceremony in Vilnius. Zvika was nominated for the for Global Experience for Lithuanian Business. More details about the event http://www.gllawards.lt/en

December 2, New Appointment We are proud to welcome Skaistė Budbergytė-Zabielaitė joining ILTH as Technology Business Development.

In 2017 Skaistė graduated from the Tel Aviv University with an LL.M. in Technology Law adding a third diploma to her interdisciplinary education altogether with International Business Management (B.A.) and Judaism studies (M.A.) in the Vilnius University.

After gaining experience in the fields of innovation facilitation and commercialisation of creative businesses, she joined our team with an unconventional set of professional skills and a well-established network in IT, Physical and Life Sciences sectors of Lithuania. Skaistė is eager to accelerate Lithuania’s’ knowledge and technology transfer as well as startups to Israel.

November 31, SLUSH HELSINKI

Tomas Navardauskas participated at Slush Helsinki startup and tech event. It was great to reuniting with friends from the Nordics and getting some new knowledge on the latest trends in tech world.

The Slush gathered up to 20,000 attendees from over 130 countries including 2,600 startups, 1,500 investors, 600 journalists and top speakers to Helsinki. This thrill led to nearly 10,000 meetups between startups and investors. It`s big, well organised and phenomenal atmosphere event. More about the event here:

November 15, new partnership

The Hub established new partnership with Klaipeda Free Economic Zone and would like to welcome aboard, whilst Teva Baltics and Inova Baltics remains our principal partner. We are appreciative and grateful to our sponsors!

On 16th January 2018, we are pleased to host representatives from Klaipeda Free Economic Zone and organise the SEMINAR - DESTINATION EU 2018: DISCOVER WHY LITHUANIA (LITA) IS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE FOR YOUR BUSINESS?.

The Seminar will feature the Klaipeda Free Economic Zone, the benefits it offers to business, factories etc. The ideal gateway into the EU. More details about the event here:

September 3-7, 2017: ILTH AT DLD TEL AVIV INNOVATION FESTIVAL

During the week of 2-7 of September ILTH hosted a delegation of about 30 people from Lithuania. INFOBALT, the association for IT companies in Lithuania, along with the participants from both private, and public sectors with different interests for their visit. On top of the participation in the DLD festival, together with the Embassy of Lithuania we arranged many meetings with universities, VCs, accelerators, companies, and organizations who expressed an interest to meet the delegates. Startup Lithuania Roadshow with selected 7 startups this year came back to DLD Innovation days.

On September 3, we were honoured to host Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Linas Linkevičius, H.E. Edminas Bagdonas and Israeli Ambassador to Lithuania H.E. Amir Maimon for a meeting with Lithuania - Israel Tech Hub and visiting Infobalt Lithuanian IT companies’ delegation.

Strengthening the economic cooperation, as well as opportunities for an exchange of best practices with the Israel were discussed, leading with the presentations about the Israel business environment. More information about the event here:

September 4-5, Vilnius synagogue conference

The Israel Lithuania Chamber of Commerce and Technology Hub is proud to be a partner of International Conference ,,How to commemorate the Great synagogue of Vilna site?".

Len Judes, a Chairman Israel Lithuania Chamber of Commerce participated and delivered a speech, linking the past to the present and future.
